Privacy Policy
SnapExpense is built with a Zero-Data / On-Device First architecture. We believe your financial data belongs strictly to you.
1. Information Collection and Storage
- No Account Required: You do not need to create an account or provide personal details to use SnapExpense.
- On-Device Processing: Receipt parsing and OCR (Optical Character Recognition) are performed 100% locally on your device. Images are never uploaded to any external server or third-party cloud.
- Local Data Storage: All expense records are stored locally on your device in standard CSV format (within your private App Group container). We have zero access to your transaction records, store names, or expense amounts.
2. Camera & Photo Library Access
- SnapExpense only accesses receipt images that you explicitly choose to process via the iOS Share Sheet or Camera.
- Processed images are discarded immediately after text extraction unless stored in your own device's Photo Library.
3. In-App Purchases & Payments
- All purchase transactions (such as SnapExpense Pro) are processed directly and securely by Apple via the App Store (StoreKit).
- We do not collect, process, or store your credit card or billing details.
4. Third-Party Analytics & Tracking
- SnapExpense does not use third-party trackers, analytics frameworks, or advertising SDKs.
